Inside the Weave with the Sunlight

What to do when I'm too weak from my recent sickness to help Brandon as he works on piecing together a bathroom in our old house project?  Naturally, the answer is to lay in the sun with a stack of afghans and listen to the music and the sounds of his effort (thumps, power tools, and muffled oaths) coming through the open window of the house.  Nothing makes me feel more relaxed than listening to someone else work while I'm reclining.    And then, when the sun is too bright to see the display on my phone, I duck under the blanket and realize that it's fun to photograph the sun glinting through the weave of the thrift store afghan.

Or photograph the twisted old locust tree through the tiny holes.

Aha!  Even better, photograph the twinkly sunlight as it comes through the weave.  I like a sun dappled mustache.

Is that a twinkle in my?  Is it me, or the cold medicine, that made trying to catch the sunlight in my eye so entertaining.

A sip of sunlight, even.

Definitely the cold medicine, right?

See, it was making me so happy!

What?  I'm not being weird under here.  Go back to work Brandon, I'm sick.

So pretty.

Hope you're feeling better soon. I just wanted to tell you that I think Brandon's bump-in solution to the shower stall is brilliant! Again, hope you feel better (without the cold medicine, even) soon!!

By the way, I'm having a bit of a problem with the comments section. The above was by me: Tamara.

Hey, Tamara, thanks for leaving a comment! I think I am feeling better already. I'm anxious for your next visit to the house so you can see our progress. The bump-in shower stall wasn't in my kitchen plans, but now that I see it, I think it's going to work nicely and give the kitchen a more interesting shape.
